Argo Translation works with certified and highly qualified interpreters with at least 2 years of experience and 40 hours of completed training. All interpreters pass our rigorous credentialing process, including a healthcare interpreting assessment. Many have a bachelor's degree, national certifications, and formal training.
At this time, we do not offer in-person interpretation. However, we provide Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) and Telephone Interpretation (TI) services to meet your needs effectively. These options ensure you receive timely and accurate interpretation without the need for an interpreter to be physically present.
No, our service is designed for businesses, schools, medical facilities, and community services that provide communication access to their customers, parents, patients, and clients in their preferred language. We offer a low monthly minimum of $50.00 with no start-up fees.
The Argo Translation Customer Portal is a gateway for your company to find specific calls in your call history, download reports of telephonic interpretation call data 30 minutes after a call is made, review billing information, and pay invoices. Yes, information is kept confidential, and calls are recorded for internal QA purposes only. Our interpreters are certified in HIPAA compliance, ensuring strict privacy, security, and confidentiality. We do not provide call recordings to clients on demand, but customers can request that calls not be recorded. Call recordings are retained for 90 days before being securely deleted.
We offer a secure online portal that provides access to on-screen interpreters, allowing your meeting participants to see crucial facial expressions, head positions, and body language. ASL and Spanish interpreters are available 24/7, while interpreters for other languages are available during business hours. For a complete list of available languages, view our VRI language list. Note that we do not use Zoom, Teams, or other video platforms at this time.

Consecutive Interpretation
Consecutive interpretation is when each speaker takes turns and pauses to let the interpreter communicate to the other party in their language. It is commonly used in 1-to-1 or small-group settings. Our certified interpreters maintain excellent standards of professionalism and have exceptional interpersonal skills to help facilitate interactions between languages.
Simultaneous Interpretation
Simultaneous interpretation is done by interpreters in an isolated booth who listen to the speaker through a headset and speak the translation into a microphone, which is wirelessly transmitted to headsets worn by audience members. This style of interpretation is generally best for large conferences or meetings where two or more languages are required. This service requires trained interpreters and specialized equipment, and we can connect you with a provider for this service.
American Sign Language (ASL)
We create understanding between the deaf and hearing-impaired via American Sign Language (ASL) to individuals in numerous businesses, organizations, and personal circumstances.

Telephonic Interpretation (TI)
Over-the-phone interpretation (OPI) is similar to a 3-way conference call with the interpreter translating between the other 2 parties who speak a different language on the phone. Video Remote Interpretation (VRI)
Video remote interpretation can be done with a group and combines voice and video technologies to communicate remotely while seeing the other person. This interpretation service is ideal for ASL and when communication of body language and verbal communication by the translator is critical. Video remote interpretation can be made anywhere and on any device with an internet connection, including desktop and laptop computers, tablet devices, and smartphones.

Interpretation for Healthcare
All of our medical interpreters are certified by the Joint Commission’s 2015 Standards for the Hospital Accreditation Program and the Ambulatory Health Care Accreditation Program, which include standards to improve communication, cultural competence, and patient-centered care. All interpreters must also participate in CMS Compliance Training, including training on protected health information (HIPAA) and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA).
